Roses

Roses are often chosen to express affection, thanks or congratulations; the colour can be matched to the occasion and the relationship with the recipient. Cut roses are grown in greenhouses throughout the year, so they are not tied to one season. After receiving them, recut the stems and remove any leaves that would sit below the waterline in a vase.
